As many of you know Fort McMurray is currently being ravaged by horrible wildfires. Thousands of evacuated families have lost their homes and have little to no possessions. There is a Facebook group East Coasters for Fort McMurray, who are gathering donations for these families and Metro Self-Storage is assisting with the donation of storage space. Please join us in helping those in need.
On June 20th we were visited by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Halifax to deliver thank you cookies for our support of the 2012 MatchMaker Program – which supports one match for a full year.
Metro Self Storage 790 Kenmount Rd, will begin housing hope, dreams and courage for the Children’s Wish Foundation (CWF), NL Chapter. They will be donating a 5 x 10 Climate Controlled space valued at $2,000.00. This generous donation will allow the CWF to direct dollars they would have to pay for storage to the cost of helping grant wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses in Newfoundland & Labrador.
