Metro Self-Storage (Halifax) has once again been selected as the 2017 Consumer Choice Award winner in the category of Storage-Self Service in Halifax. This marks the 7th consecutive year that Metro Self-Storage has been awarded the prestigious accolade. The award is only bestowed upon a very select group of business owners and entrepreneurs recognized by customers for their business excellence.

Metro Self-Storage and Cubeit Portable Storage were pleased to be a major sponsor for the 7th annual Drive for Hope Golf Tournament at the beautiful Glen Arbour Golf Course.
The team at Metro Self-Storage offered 5,000 AIR MILES reward miles to one lucky winner of the golf ball drop challenge that seen hundreds of golf balls dropped from a crane on the course with the closest to the hole being the winner!
Since its inception, the tournament has raised over $250,000 for Hope Cottage.
Hope Cottage is a charitable organization whose mission is to provide meals to those who cannot afford to obtain these meals themselves. Currently Hope Cottage helps feed over 200 individuals a day, five days a week. Hope Cottage receives no government assistance, so funds from this event, and other event during the year are what sustain the operation.

Metro Self-Storage's facility in St. John's, Newfoundland was featured on CBC Television program Republic of Doyle episode 5 X 14 titled "If the Shoe Fits".
The cast and crew were on location in late October to film parts of the episode at our 20 White Rose Drive facility. The episode aired on January 29th, 2014 on CBC.

Hundreds of children will be receiving toys this Christmas thanks to the Q104 Toy Drive. Metro Self-Storage was pleased to be part of this event by donating one of our Cubeit cube to store the over 90 bags of toys. The two day event was held in conjunction with Q104 and the Halifax Professional Firefighters on November 28th – 29th.
It is because of community support and corporate supporters like Metro Self-Storage that thousands of HRM families will receive toys and food hampers this Christmas. Last year the toy drive helped more than 4,600 families in the HRM by providing toys and food hampers to the families.
